Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is one of the largest business schools in Europe with ca. 20 000 students and 2000 employees. CBS research covers a broad subject area within the social sciences and humanities, including both the classical management and business disciplines and the disciplines that connect the business to wider social and political issues. The Department of Management, Society and Communication studies, among other things, the responsibilities of companies in the face of the global challenges. For instance, the department coordinates the CBS Africa Initiative, which aims to develop the research, teaching and outreach of CBS in Africa.

Thilde LangevangThilde Langevang is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Development Studies at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, small businesses, work and livelihoods, with a particular focus on young people and women. She has conducted research in numerous African countries and has been doing field research in Ghana for more than 20 years. Thilde finds great value in participatory research methods and often use a combination of interviews, focus group discussions, visual and arts-based methods in her research. In HOTSPOT2 she co-leads the research workpackage on socio-economic impact of coastal degradation on fishing communities.
